We went to a National Boat Supply chain to purchase what we thought was the Sport-a-Seat. When we got home and opened the product we realized the seats were not what we thought. These were a much cheaper version of the original Sport-a-Seat and not at all acceptable. The color of the material was different and not close to the quality of the Sunbrella™ material. You could feel the ratchet and I knew it would only be a matter of time before it pushed through the material. We immediately returned these imitation seats. They were not worth the price we were charged. We have since purchased the true (original) Sport-a-Seats at Welcome Aboard! and are very happy – so are our tushies!

This item - the sport-a-seat boat lounger - is THE best chair I ever bought for our boat(s). We initially bought two about four years ago when we had a trawler and there was no way you could sit on the front of the boat without lugging something up there and unfolding it. This seat is oh-so-easy to stow and carry anywhere on the boat, adjusts to five different seating positions EASILY, is extremely comfortable AND it lays flat for lying down (back or stomach) when you feel like it! ALL THAT and, as I had a chance to experience when a combination of wind and the seat being left upright, teetering on the edge of our new power catamaran, sent the lounger into the water - IT FLOATS. This eliminated the need for diving - head first - into the cold morning waters (my first reaction) and allowed for a more graceful rescue via dinghy. As you can tell, I really love these seats - we now have four. Thanks for a great product!

Like all new boat owners, when I bought my Catalina 470 in 2006, I wanted to do everything I could to make it look like a million-dollar yacht. I've been on a few and I know that carpeting, runners and throw rugs really make a difference, so after asking around, I was referred to the Welcome Aboard website. It looked like my dream come true, with lots of customized accessories available for my new "home." I immediately ordered customized wine and drinking glasses, cocktail napkins and customized mats and runners to protect and enhance the teak and holly sole throughout the entire vessel, all sporting the vessel's name, "Last Resort," in classic script.

For many years I'd covered the long-since worn floors of my prior boat, a Catalina 36, with residential quality carpet acquired from scraps at various carpet companies. These carpets never lasted more than 6 months, so even though Welcome Aboard boasted a much longer life span for their "marine grade" carpets, in my own mind, I put the useful life of the mats and runners I'd ordered at one year, tops. I couldn't have been more mistaken. After 5 years of rigorous sailing, my carpets still look like new. I've sailed 16,000 nautical miles on my Catalina 470, from the frigid waters of Alaska to the tropical sun of Zihautanejo and most places in between, and Welcome Aboard's carpets and mats seem to be bullet proof. I've even had a flood or two aboard ship in storms in the North Pacific, drenching the carpets with corrosive saltwater, but after a good fresh water rinse, they spring back to like-new.

I've added a mat or two from Welcome Aboard over the years and would recommend their product line to every boat owner looking for the highest quality products available anywhere in the marine marketplace.
